Parent Involvement
The center is focused on the child, while providing a supportive environment for both parents and teachers. Your involvement is both welcomed and encouraged. We understand parents are often busy when dropping off and picking up their kids from child care. We strive to bridge the gap by complementing face-to-face communications with real time picture updates and digital daily reports, using the ProCare parent app and web portal, Parents can view photos, videos, daily reports and schedules, update their child’s information, and message educators in their own private, secure account. There are also bulletin boards throughout the center that may have special notices for parents.
When schools, families, and communities work together to support learning, children tend to do better and stay in school longer. Parent involvement helps children have better social skills, show improved behavior, and adapt well to school. Here at Vision Academy, our goal is to create an environment that encourages learning as parents increase their interaction and discussion with their children and become more responsive and sensitive to their children's social, emotional, and intellectual developmental needs. The involvement of the parents in a child's education makes a world of difference. Parents are welcome to visit the center at any time. You may join your child for lunch, volunteer to assist with special classroom activities, and/or participate in social and educational events throughout the year. Refer to the calendar and weekly newsletters for upcoming dates and activities.
